This cardigan is probably a big memory for me. I have been working on the design for nearly 2 years on and off. The Body Panel works really quickly. However, I needed a very long time to complete the Sleeve. I tried so many type of sleeves, frog it and make another one. Finally, I tried crocheting sleeves with an increase at the beginning and a decrease at the end. And I really love this sleeve style. It looks natural and really matches the Body Panel. So now I can finish the knit-look cardigan and bring it to you. Now I’m really happy!

Construction:

The body panel is crocheted in one piece worked lengthways. Two sleeves and two pockets are crocheted separately. Then all parts will be sewn together to finish the product.

Yarn:

For this design, I used 4 ply Milk Cotton yarn, this is a light DK weight yarn, about 240m to 260m per 100g. You can use any type of light DK yarn from 220m to 280m per 100g. The important thing is your tension can meet the gauge.

Hook:

I used 5.5 mm crochet hook to crochet the whole part and 6.5 mm crochet hook to crochet the foundation chain. If your crochet swatch does not fit with the gauge, try using a larger hook or a smaller hook based on your crochet tension.
