This Crochet Lace Button Cardigan Pattern took me a long time to design and adjust for multiple sizes. However, making the cardigan from the design it was so great! I has a wonderful time when crochet this cardigan, the lace pattern made me so excited and relaxed when crocheting! Besides, the lace pattern is quite sparse so the cardigan is crochet pretty quickly. I’m planning crochet more cardigans from this design for gifts since some relatives and friends of me since they really like this cardigan!

Yarn:

I use Alize Cotton Gold which is 330m/100g for this design. It is 55% cotton, 45% acrylic, soft and fluffy, I really like this brand of yarn since up until now I have not seen any break in the roll of yarn!

I use 4.0 mm crochet hook for the whole pieces of pattern and 3.5 mm crochet hook for the hemline & neckline ribbing

I purchased this pattern and am having a difficult time coming up with the correct number of stitches in the second row. Have started it 2 times and both times come up two double crochets short. I have the 147 double crochets in the first row so I don’t know where/what I am doing that I am not coming up with the 297 stitches required for the next row. I am not a beginner and have crocheted many other sweaters and items, but can’t figure this one out. Keep coming with 295 Is this a printing error in the directions?

    • If you are crocheting 2XL/3XL size, make sure that you have 148 DCs in the first row ( first DC + 147 DCs in pattern repeats), thanks!
